American Express will NOT be offering statement credits for Small Business Saturday on November 28 this year unfortunately. In years past they have offered statement credits for making purchases at participating merchants, and last year you could earn a $10 statement credit up to 3 times per registered card for spending $10 or more. You could even register authorized user accounts and cards issued by other financial institutions that function on the American Express network, such as the Fidelity Amex.

There are only three days left until the American Express Membership Rewards points transfer ratio change to British Airways Avios. As of October 1, 2015, the transfer ratio for American Express Membership Rewards points to British Airways Avios will be changing from 1000:1000 to 1000:800, much different that the past when there have been transfer bonuses, such as the 40% transfer bonus this past January.
