As Sub Divo said in his post on British Airways Executive Club Changes Avios Rewards in United States, beginning February 2016, mileage redemption requirements for all Zone 1 short haul flights to and from the United States will be increasing to 7,500 Avios. There are still 4,500 Avios bargains in Europe though. According to CNBC, Hyatt is in talks with Starwood Hotels & Resorts to purchase the hotel giant in a deal that could be as close as a week away. They have been talking for a few weeks trying to work out a deal. Should it go through, Hyatt management will take control of all operations.
