Transaero, Russia’s second largest air carrier, announced plans of bankruptcy and an eventual cessation of flight operations . Crippled by almost 4 billion USD of debt, two major Russian lenders, Sberbank and Alfa Bank, announced their intention to bring bankruptcy proceedings against Transaero.
